If you don’t check for damage and report anything not in the damage log, you run the risk of being assigned damage you aren’t responsible for.
Don't be offended, we contact all members who used the car prior to the damage being reported. Explain if the damage was there when you began your booking, or if you don’t recall seeing any damage at all.
If the damage occurred during your booking, but while you were away from the car, it is still considered your responsibility. The damage that occurs after your booking has ended is not your responsibility, but your assistance in identifying possible causes is appreciated.
