Sometimes when you go to pay for fuel with the fuel card, the transaction won't go through. This can be for a variety of reasons (detailed below), but the quickest way to fix it is to pay yourself. Keep the itemised receipt, and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org to get credited back.
Reasons why the fuel card might not work:
- The PIN is specific to the car. If you've accidentally taken the wrong car, the PIN you have will be incorrect.
- The fuel cards are programmed to only work with the right fuel for the car. If you've used the wrong fuel, the card won't work.
- Technical or admin error.
