Android Auto

All our Kia Sportages are compatible with Android Auto, allowing you to connect your Android smartphone directly to the onboard entertainment system.

How do I do this?

First, you will need to have the latest version of the Android OS and the Android Auto app which is available here. You will need to sync all your base apps to Android Auto which does take a few minutes.

Next, plug your phone in using a USB cable. You can't connect via Bluetooth when using Android Auto.

If Android Auto doesn't pop up straight away on the touch screen in the car, you will have to activate this through options. The selection for this is generally under the "connectivity" section.

Once you have connected to the phone to the system, you will able to:

Use Google maps

Play your stored music, Spotify, Pandora and favourite streaming radio station by selecting the headphones icon.

Clicking the circle button in the middle of the selection bar will take you back the main screen for Android Auto. Here, you will receive all your normal notifications and weather updates.
